I like to work from photographs that I take on long walks with my dogs–from beautiful Vineyard beaches to Boston city parks. Here is a view of Lucy Vincent Beach in Chilmark, Martha’s Vineyard sometime in the winter. The fog and deserted beach represent, for me, an island at rest, concealed, gentle, and lovely.
